Police ask for help to ID man in alleged Walmart thefts

SOUTH JACKSON — Police are asking for help identifying a man they say stole several items on multiple occasions from Walmart. The man is described as white, about six feet two inches tall and between 40 and 60 years old, according to a release from the Jackson Police Department. He was last seen leaving the store in a gray, four-door Ford Taurus or Tempo. Police say the man stole electronics from Walmart on South Highland Avenue on six different occasions. The man is accused of stealing three computers, three televisions and a blender. The stolen merchandise is worth a total of about $2,311, the release states. Anyone who can identify the man or has relevant information is asked to call Jackson police at 731-425-8400 or Crime Stoppers at 731-424-TIPS (8477).
