Police seek man in theft, vandalism at south Jackson businesses

SOUTH JACKSON — Police are searching for a man they say damaged property at two south Jackson auto businesses. On March 31, the man allegedly climbed over a fence and broke into a vending machine at Car Mart on South Highland Avenue, according to a release from the Jackson Police Department. Officers say the same man vandalized another vending machine the same evening at Miller Automotive, also on South Highland Avenue. The man is described as black and was driving a white, newer model Dodge minivan, the release states. Anyone who can identify the man or has relevant information is asked to call Jackson police at 731-425-8400 or Crime Stoppers at 731-424-TIPS (8477).
