Jury finds man guilty of aggravated child abuse

MILAN, Tenn.-It took a jury in Milan just 90 minutes to find one man guilty on child abuse charges. Thomas Boykin was found guilty on two counts of aggravated child abuse. He could face 15 to 40 years in prison for each count. This all stems from a call in March 2014 where police found a 3- year-old child unconscious at Boykin’s home. The child was then taken to LeBonheur Children’s Medical Center in Memphis with brain and abdominal bleeding and severe burns to his hands and back. Boykin was the boyfriend of the child’s mother at the time. He is being held in the Gibson County Correctional Complex until his sentencing in July.
