JACKSON, Tenn. — A student-run fundraiser benefiting special needs athletics brought out dozens Saturday. Twin sisters at Jackson Christian School organized a special needs talent show and festival for their classmates and community members to have ‘A Time to Shine’. “It’s a special needs talent show and festival so we wanted to give these kids an opportunity to just put themselves out there and have fun but where they would be honored and be in the spotlight,” Claire Morris said. The sisters said they wanted an event that reached out to the community. “We wanted to provide another opportunity for their parents to come and cheer them on and then for our students to interact with the special needs community,” Katie Morris said. The Morris sisters said they hope to raise more than $1,000.
