Funeral plans announced for fallen firefighter
JACKSON, Tenn. — Funeral arrangements have been announced for a Madison County firefighter killed Sunday in the line of duty. Firefighter Chris Blankenship will be honored with a full traditional firefighter service. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Meridian Baptist Church, located at 161 Harts Bridge Road in Jackson. The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Carl Perkins Civic Center, located at 400 South Highland Avenue in Jackson. The burial will take place immediately following the service at Highland Memorial Gardens Cemetery. A benefit fund has been established for the family.
