CHESTER COUNTY, Tenn. — Students at a Chester County middle school got expert advice Wednesday on surviving some scary situations. Students learned what to do during a fire and how to survive if they get lost in the woods. Fire officials also explained to students when they should call 911 and what to keep in mind during an emergency. Officials say now is the perfect time to talk to students because many are getting to the age where their parents leave them home alone. Fourth and 5th graders at the middle school attended Wednesday’s safety event.
