JACKSON, Tenn. — Jackson residents took the chance Saturday night to make a difference for survivors of domestic and sexual violence. It was the 2nd annual Denim and Pearls event held by Wo/Men’s Rape Assistance Program. The event was held to fund programs at WRAP. Each seat went for $100 with a meal and live entertainment. WRAP leaders say the thousands of dollars they raise Saturday will help deliver a message. “What we do to help survivors of domestic and sexual violence, it’s about how peoples’ contributions help people help themselves,” Daryl Chansuthus said. WRAP is celebrating 40 years as a nonprofit organization.
