Two men convicted in 2013 Jackson shooting

MADISON COUNTY, Tenn. — Two men were convicted Wednesday on charges stemming from a 2013 shooting outside an east Jackson barber shop. Dequavion Lee and Mariaco Lee were found guilty of attempted first-degree murder and aggravated assault, according to the Madison County Circuit Court Clerk’s office. Both are scheduled for sentencing June 26. A 20-year-old man was shot multiple times just after 3 p.m. Dec. 10, 2013, in the parking lot of a barber shop in the 300 block of Lane Avenue, according to the Jackson Police Department. The victim was later reported by police to be recovering in a hospital from several wounds to the chest and abdomen.
