Tractor-trailer hits utility pole, overturns

MADISON COUNTY, Tenn. — Crews are on scene after a tractor-trailer leaves the roadway and strikes a utility pole Wednesday evening. There is not yet word on injuries. The truck was traveling eastbound on Highway 412 and overturned in the accident, according to officers on scene. Crews responded to the crash just before 5 p.m. Crews currently are working to replace downed power lines. Traffic is moving slowly as workers continue clearing the scene.
