JACKSON, Tenn. — It was a great night Thursday for runners to lace up their running shoes to help out a great cause. More than 500 runners took to West Forest Avenue in the Medical Center area for the annual Twilight Run 5K. The event raised money for Heaven’s Cradle, an organization that supports grieving families who have lost children at birth. Organizers told WBBJ 7 Eyewitness News the event is a healthy way for families to cope and come together in their community. “This gives me a really good healthy outlet for me to grieve, and I have found a lot of other moms are right there with me and we’re kind of in this together,” said Abby Lackey, founder of Heaven’s Cradle. This is the third year for the Twilight Run. The more than $30,000 raised this year will continue the mission of helping families create memories with their baby.
