Jackson man accused of pushing, strangling girlfriend

DOWNTOWN JACKSON — An alleged argument that turned violent led to a Jackson man going before a judge Friday in city court. Police responded Thursday to a reported domestic in progress at an apartment in the 500 block of Old Hickory Boulevard. A woman told officers she and her boyfriend, Corey Reid, had an argument that later turned physical. She told police Reid pushed her into the bathroom and strangled her. She said the incident took place in front of her 2-year-old son. Reid is charged with aggravated domestic assault.
