Police investigate reported shooting in west Jackson

WEST JACKSON — Police search for a suspect on the run after a reported shooting in a Jackson neighborhood. Police responded around 3:30 p.m. Monday to the 100 block of Hatton Street after receiving a call about gunshots. Officers say one person was wounded after being grazed by a bullet, but they do not believe the injuries are life threatening. Police were seen searching a crime scene in the back of the property and now say they are searching for a man eyewitnesses saw leave the scene wearing black clothing. “A black male subject was last seen running from this location, last seen running toward Johnson Street,” Sgt.
