West Carroll HS student killed in crash

CARROLL COUNTY, Tenn. — A West Carroll Junior/Senior High School student was killed in a Tuesday morning auto accident, school officials have confirmed. Blake Ray would have been a junior this coming school year and was a member of the high school football team, according to Principal Dexter Williams. Williams said instead of an 8 a.m. practice, Ray’s teammates will meet Wednesday with coaches and professional grief counselors. “Man, I’m in a state of shock,” first-year head coach Josh Wolfe told WBBJ 7 Eyewitness News via text message shortly after hearing about the accident around 11 a.m.
