Natural gas provider gets national recognition for excellence

HENRY COUNTY, Tenn. — A local natural gas provider recently was recognized for excellence by a national group. The Paris-Henry County Public Utility District was presented the American Public Gas Association’s System Operational Achievement Recognition, or SOAR, for excellence in operating the natural gas facility, according to the local utility. The utility district was one of nine recipients recognized at the APGA’s annual meeting June 29 in Broomfield, Colo. They were chosen out of 700 APGA members. They were chosen based on system integrity, system improvement, employee safety and workforce development, according to the utility.
