DYER COUNTY, Tenn. — Hoping to give West Tennesseans the chance to get to work, a local college and Dot Foods are teaming up. At Newbern’s Tennessee College of Applied Technology, officials are starting a new truck driving school made possible by Dot Foods and Rural Development Partners, both of which are donating more than $50,000. Fifty-five graduates from the Newbern program will be guaranteed a position with a salary of $55,000 per year.
