Police investigate late night robbery at Humboldt gas station

HUMBOLDT, Tenn. — Two masked gunmen robbed a gas station in Humboldt late Wednesday night, according to Humboldt police. Investigators said two black men who had masks covering their faces entered the Maverick gas station on East End Drive around 9:15 p.m. and demanded money from the clerk at the counter. Officers said the two men then left the gas station with an undisclosed amount of cash. An officer on the scene told WBBJ 7 Eyewitness news a suspect had been taken into custody in relation to the robbery but that the gunman remained on the run.
