Crews battle fire at grain company

DYER, Tenn. — Gibson County volunteer firefighters are still on the scene of a fire that broke out at a downtown grain company. Fire officials said the fire began around 10 a.m. Saturday in a dust collection bin at Anderson Grain Company. Crews said they were able to quickly get the fire under control, but they are still on the scene putting out hot spots. Main Street running through downtown Dyer is also shut down due to equipment blocking the road. Fire crews said a number of firefighters have had to be treated on the scene by EMS for heat-related injuries. Firefighters said the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
