TRENTON, Tenn. — A Trenton man is charged after police say he stabbed his nephew during an argument Friday night. Harold Sweat, 66, is charged with aggravated assault in the incident. Investigators said they received a call around 6 p.m. Friday for a report of a stabbing at 124 Forrest Street in Trenton. When officers arrived on scene, they say Sweat had been drinking and was arguing with his nephew. The altercation turned violent, and Sweat stabbed his nephew once, according to police. Gibson County EMS treated the victim on scene and transported him to Jackson-Madison County General Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Sweat is being held without bond at the Gibson County Correctional Complex. He is scheduled to be arraigned July 28 in Trenton Municipal Court.
