Police search for suspects in north Jackson shootout

JACKSON, Tenn. — Jackson police responded just before 9 p.m. Saturday to Oil Well Road to investigate a reported shooting. Police have confirmed there was a shootout between two cars. One vehicle was pulled out of a ditch near the Steeplechase subdivision. Officers say one or both cars were hit on the scene. One of the vehicles drove to the Sam’s Club off Vann Drive after the incident. One man was taken into custody. Jackson Police Chief Julian Wiser said officers are searching for two black men last seen driving a tan sedan. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 731-424-TIPS (8477).
