Landfill fire is out; cause still unknown
MADISON COUNTY, Tenn. — The Madison County fire chief says they can’t yet say what sparked a fire Sunday night at a local landfill, but the fire is now out. The fire was first reported round 8:30 p.m. along Aaron Long Road. Landfill employees said garbage in the landfill caught fire. Residents said they could see flames in the area.
