JMCSS hosts open houses across district

JACKSON, Tenn. — It may be hard to believe, but Jackson-Madison County students head back to school in exactly one week. In preparation, open houses are being held all week long. Tigrett Middle School is one of four schools holding open houses Tuesday, with only the 6th grade orientation being held there. At Thelma Barker Elementary, kindergartners are invited to come walk the halls of their new school starting at 6 p.m. “To be able to tour the school, find out where the classroom is in advance of your first day of class, got to meet their teachers and also get to meet some of their classmates and some the faculty there at the school,” said Ginger Carver, spokesperson with Jackson-Madison County Schools. For a complete open house schedule, look for the link in the Seen on 7 section of our website.
