Jackson police give back with Boys & Girls Club donation

JACKSON, Tenn. — The Jackson Police Department gave back to the community Thursday with a donation to the Jackson Boys and Girls Club. The department gave the $1,000 gift to the organization for back-to-school shopping, according to a release from the department. The check was presented to Sabrina Anderson, executive director of the Jackson Boys and Girls Club. The donation was made available through the department’s Community Fund, which is managed by the West Tennessee Healthcare Foundation. “Through the generosity of donors and the Andy Bailey Memorial 5K Run/1 Mile Walk, the Jackson Police Department was able to provide funding for four deserving families,” Chief Julian Wiser stated in the release. “This donation will assist these families in buying school supplies and clothing as they prepare to send their children back to school.”
