Benton Co. crash spills truck cargo on I-40
BENTON COUNTY, Tenn. — A Monday rollover crash left part of Interstate 40 strewn with items from a tractor-trailer. The accident occurred east of Exit 133, and investigators believe the contents of the trailer shifted, causing the truck to crash into a guard rail, according to Benton County Sheriff Kenny Christopher. The truck driver was from Hickman County and suffered only minor injuries, according to Christopher. The road had to be temporarily shut down so the cargo from the truck could be cleared. The Tennessee Highway Patrol is still investigating the crash.
