Accused shoplifter faces new gun charge

JACKSON, Tenn. — A man arrested Saturday on charges of shoplifting and having a loaded gun now faces an additional firearm charge. Brent Brown appeared Wednesday on a charge of unlawful carrying or possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. During Brown’s arrest for allegedly shoplifting at Belk, police say they found a loaded Llama .380 handgun in his front pocket. Police say Brown is a felon on convictions from 2008 in Madison County.
