CHESTER COUNTY, Tenn. — A local high school was briefly placed on lockdown Thursday morning as a safety precaution. The principal placed Chester County High School on lockdown after a student left the school building and returned with an unknown object in his hand, according to school officials. The student was being questioned around 8:30 a.m. about an incident that occurred the previous day outside school property, officials said. The student ran out of the office and outside the school during questioning and then returned with an unknown object in his hand, which was later found to be a cell phone. The student was arrested for unruly behavior and taken to the juvenile office, school officials said.
