Alleged joyride lands man in court

JACKSON, Tenn. — A man was in city court Tuesday after allegedly taking a drive in someone’s vehicle without permission and not returning it. Sadarius Reeves is accused of leaving in the vehicle Sunday night while the owner, whom he was visiting, was asleep, according to an affidavit. When the owner awoke and saw her car was gone, she went to an address where she thought Reeves might be and found him and her vehicle, according to the document. Police say Reeves fled when they pulled up. Reeves is charged with unauthorized use of a vehicle. His is free on a $7,500 bond.
