Woman accused of stealing nursing home resident’s pension checks

HUMBOLDT, Tenn. — A woman is in jail after police say she stole a nursing home resident’s pension checks and used the money for herself. Rhonda Milstead, 45, of Humboldt is accused of illegally receiving the funds from January through July, according to the Humboldt Police Department. Police say she admitted to using more than $20,000 for her own personal use and benefit. Milstead is charged with theft over $10,000 and has been transported to the Gibson County Criminal Justice Complex in Trenton, according to police.
