JACKSON, Tenn.-A well-known organization makes a substantial check presentation on Friday in efforts to help bring a major project to West Tennessee. A check for more than $1,000 was presented by the Tennessee Society Daughters of the American Revolution. The proceeds will go towards the West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery, to be built near Parkers Crossroads in Henderson County. Leaders with the DAR said they are glad to be able to help veterans because of the sacrifices they have made for our country. “We are very proud of the work we do with veterans because we are so grateful for what they have done for us,” said Susan Rogers Thomas of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Proceeds will go towards funding the construction of the veterans cemetery.
