TRIMBLE, Tenn. — A West Tennessee town soon will see new leadership as the mayor resigns his position. James Davis submitted his resignation Friday to the city recorder for health reasons. Davis’ resignation comes four days after David Butler resigned as alderman, effectively stepping down as vice mayor as well. City leaders will hold a special called meeting at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at city hall to elect a mayor, vice mayor and two new aldermen.
