U.S. Marshals capture murder suspect at Jackson hotel

JACKSON, Tenn. — U.S. Marshals have captured a man wanted on a first-degree murder charge at a Jackson hotel. Jashaun Baker, 21, has been taken into custody at Old Hickory Inn on the Highway 45 bypass, according to the U.S. Marshals Service. Baker was wanted on a first-degree murder charge in a 2013 case out of Dyersburg. On Dec. 25, 2013, police responded to a report of a person being shot in the 600 block of Peabody Street, according to the Dyersburg Police Department. The victim was identified as Quincy Terry, 34, of Dyersburg. Two other men, Trevien Reed and Davanti White, also have been indicted on first-degree murder charges in the case and already were in custody on unrelated charges at the time of the indictment, according to police.
