Police: Woman tried to attack bus driver, struggled with officers

JACKSON, Tenn. — A woman was in court Wednesday after police say she caused a scene and tried to attack a Greyhound bus driver near the station in downtown Jackson. Donna Lyn Scott is accused of causing a disturbance on a bus and threatening other passengers as the bus pulled into the station, according to court documents. Police say they had to stop Scott as she charged toward the bus driver in anger. Scott also is accused of resisting arrest after police say she was uncooperative and tried to pull away while being handcuffed. Officers say Scott was yelling and using profanity during the incident and on the way to jail. Scott is charged with resisting arrest, simple assault and disorderly conduct. The judge set her bond at $5,000.
