Kiwanis Club annouce top civic award recipients

JACKSON, Tenn.-Congratulations are in order as the Kiwanis Club named the winners of their annual civic awards, Thursday. Officer Joshua Vinson was named this year’s Jackson Police Officer of Year. Deputy Ben Moyer takes the award for top Madison County Deputy. Cecil Riggsbee is recognized as the Jackson Firefighter of the Year. Firefighter Chris Blankenship, who was killed in the line of duty a few months ago received the award posthumously for top Madison County firefighter. His wife, Ashley accepted the award in his honor.
