MARTIN, Tenn. — Police are asking the public to help identify a person of interest after several incidents where Martin businesses have been given counterfeit money. Police have released a photo of a man they say is a person of interest. The bogus bills have been in $20 and $100 denominations and are difficult to distinguish as fake, according to police. The Martin Police Department is working with the Secret Service and surrounding local agencies to find the source of the fake money. If you recognize the man in the photo or have other possible leads, call Martin police at 731-587-5355 or Crime Stoppers at 731-587-2611 if you would like to remain anonymous.
