MADISON COUNTY, Tenn. — Charlie Pittman, who recently pleaded guilty in the death of his fiancee, has been turned over to state custody. Pittman was transferred Aug. 21 from the Madison County Jail to the Tennessee Department of Correction. He is being housed in the Bledsoe County Correctional Complex in Pikeville. Pittman is sentenced to serve 40 years at 100 percent. He pleaded guilty Aug. 6 to second-degree murder and tampering with evidence in the February 2014 death of Union University student Olivia Greenlee. Police say Pittman stole a 9 mm pistol from his roommate and used it to fatally shoot Greenlee as she sat in her car on the edge of the Union campus.
