MARTIN, Tenn. — A Kentucky man is arrested after contacting a woman the same day he got out of jail for being on her property after being told to leave by law enforcement, according to police. Brandon Vernam, 22, of Murray, Ky., was arrested Monday at a Mount Pelia Road home in Martin when he returned to the property after being told to leave by police earlier that day, according to the Martin Police Department. Vernam was released from jail on bond Wednesday after appearing in General Sessions Court. That afternoon, the victim told police Vernam had contacted her again. Police issued warrants for aggravated stalking, and Vernam was arrested in Kentucky. Martin police are investigating Vernam for stalking and criminal trespassing, according to the department. He will be extradited back to Tennessee, according to police.
