CAMDEN, Tenn. — The Camden Police Department is mourning the recent loss of a valued member of their team — a long-serving K-9 named Hercules. An 11-year-old black Lab, Hercules passed away last Friday. He had served as Camden’s police dog since Sept. 28, 2007. “He was a very good dog,” Chief George Smith said, adding that Hercules and his handler, Officer Brian Vitt, “were a great K-9 team. They worked very well with our officers as well as officers in surrounding communities.”
