Man charged with having gun illegally
JACKSON, Tenn. — A man went before a Jackson judge Tuesday on a charge of carrying a gun as a convicted felon. Anthony McCarty Jr. appeared in city court on charges of having drugs and the gun in his car. Court papers say he told officers about the pistol he was carrying. He’s being held in lieu of a $75,000 bond.
