Police: Argument over number ‘666’ leads to assault, arrest

BROWNSVILLE, Tenn. — After an argument about the number “666,” a man has been arrested and charged with aggravated assault. According to a Brownsville police report, two men had an argument Wednesday evening about the number “666” on the back of a tractor-trailer. Investigators said John Wilson, 49, pulled out two knives and allegedly threatened the other man. The incident took place a the Domtar Paper facility on Welch Street, where police were called to the scene. Investigators said Wilson has had an arrest history of domestic abuse. This incident has taken many members of the Brownsville community by surprise. “It’s crazy, man. What’s next? I mean, cows flying?” resident Ricardo Johnson said. “I don’t know. Never heard of something so crazy.” Wilson is being held at the Haywood County Criminal Justice Center.
