Musician Chuck McGill’s life celebrated at Jackson’s Amp

JACKSON, Tenn. — The Hub City remembered a West Tennessee Musician Saturday. Chuck McGill died unexpectedly earlier in August. Throughout his career, he played with a number of groups including his wife’s band, Paula Bridges and the Bandstand Revue, who played at the tribute. McGill also had a music store in Jackson, called the Bandstand. The musician was originally scheduled to play at The Amp on September 12th. “This is the night that Chuck and his band were supposed to play, so we decided we would make it a celebration on behalf of Chuck,” Jimmy Exum said, chair of The Amp. A hat was also passed around to raise money for McGill’s family.
