Man accused of assaulting victim in wheel chair

JACKSON, Tenn — Jackson Police have arrested Jimmy Williams after he allegedly assaulted a man in a wheel chair. Court documents show the victim claims Williams stepped out in front of him while in an apartment complex hall, called him an expletive and slapped him in the face, knocking his glasses and hat off of his head. The victim claims when he asked Williams why he slapped him, Williams responded with a gay slur and expletive then kicked the wheel chair. Williams has been charged with simple assault. His bond was set at $1,000.
