Gunman enters plea in 2013 shooting outside sheriff’s office

JACKSON, Tenn. — A man charged in a 2013 shooting in the parking lot of the Madison County Sheriff’s Office has pleaded guilty to attempted first-degree murder. Corey Gray entered the plea Tuesday in Judge Roy Morgan’s courtroom. The judgement will be handed down within a week, according to the judge’s secretary. Gray turned himself in three days after the Nov. 9, 2013, shooting that injured a 5-year-old girl and a 24-year-old man.
