JACKSON, Tenn. — The Hub City is getting greener, and the Environmental Protection Agency is taking notice. The federal agency is praising the Jackson Walk area in downtown. The city says Jackson is the first and only city in the state to win Smart Growth achievement honors from the EPA. Officials say Jackson Walk has added more than 30 new businesses to the area. The city joins 62 other winners from 26 states.
