UNION CITY, Tenn. — Police are seeking a man on an aggravated assault charge after a confrontation at an apartment complex. Officers responded Tuesday to East Gate Village Apartments on Nash Street where several people were trying to get into an apartment to confront someone, according to a report from the Union City Police Department. The woman who lives there told police the people were trying to get to her son, Micah Watts, who had confronted her former boyfriend. She said her son approached the man in the apartment complex and told him to stay away from her. Police spoke with the former boyfriend by phone, and he said Watts had approached him with a knife in his hand accompanied by two other men. The department has a warrant for Watts on an aggravated assault charge.
