JACKSON, Tenn. — Celebrating our founding fathers and the U.S. Constitution, the Daughters of the American Revolution on Thursday made bells ring across Tennessee. Bells Across America, coined around the phrase “let freedom ring,” invited Americans to make their bells sing Thursday afternoon. This is the 228th anniversary since the signing of the Constitution. “In this document, it promises that we will have freedom today and we will have freedom for our children’s children. So we celebrate the U.S. Constitution,” said Debbie Bosten, Constitution chair. The National Society Daughters of the American Revolution was founded in 1890 to promote patriotism and preserve American history.
