RIFA to host Canstruction event tonight featuring Steven Curtis Chapman

JACKSON, Tenn. — Regional Inter-Faith Association is hosting its 11th annual Canstruction event Thursday night. The event takes place at the Carl Perkins Civic Center near downtown Jackson and will feature contemporary Christian singer-songwriter Steven Curtis Chapman. Chapman has won five Grammy Awards and 57 Gospel Music Association Dove Awards, according to a RIFA release. Canstruction is a design and building competition in which competing teams showcase their talents by making giant sculptures out of canned goods. After the exhibition, all the food is donated to the RIFA Food Bank to distribute to other nonprofits in the Jackson-Madison County area.
