HENRY COUNTY, Tenn. — A recent rash of lawn mower thefts has taken a West Tennessee town by storm. Tom Brannon, owner of B&G Equipment, says six lawn mowers were stolen right from the lot of his store. “There were six lawn mowers stolen this time, the largest one being a large horse power 61-inch cut frame,” Brannon said. This is the second time B&G Equipment has been burglarized. Several lawn mowers were stolen earlier this year. According to Investigator Bryan Hall of the Henry County Sheriff’s Department, this may be a part of a string of lawn mower thefts across West Tennessee. “This isn’t the first one that we’ve had in the area. It’s probably the same group or there’s a couple groups that are breaking into all these lawn mower and tractor shops through West Tennessee,” Hall said. Brannon estimates he’s had $40,000 in lawn mowers stolen during this latest theft. Call the Henry County Sheriff’s Department if you can help with this investigation.
