JACKSON, Tenn. — The 160th season has attracted families and friends from all over the West Tennessee area for food, rides and games at the Jackson Fairgrounds. The gates closed Sunday night on this longstanding tradition, and one vendor who says she loves the West Tennessee State Fair because of its unique atmosphere. “Being on the small side, it tends to be a little more personable, family-oriented, not a lot of big crowds or fights or anything like that,” first-time vendor Marla Hammoc said. “It’s just a real nice place. That’s what I like about it.” After five days, the fair packed up and will be back next year.
