JACKSON, Tenn. — A Jackson man was in city court Monday after allegedly assaulting the mother of his child and not letting her leave. Reginald Dontae Williamson is accused of throwing the woman to the ground during an argument at his residence and then putting his shin across her neck, causing her to partially black out, according to an affidavit. The woman tried to leave the Camelot Cove residence several times, but Williamson allegedly kept her from escaping by pushing and pulling her, the document states. When Williamson left the residence, the woman ran to a treeline and hid until she could get a ride and call the police, according to the affidavit. Police say the woman had visible injuries to her chest, neck, chin and lips. Williamson is charged with aggravated domestic assault.
