Officials say squirrel to blame for Henry Co. power outage

HENRY COUNTY, Tenn. — Nearly 4,000 people woke up in Buchanan Monday morning without power. The likely reason? A squirrel. Officials at the Paris Landing Substation say a squirrel got caught between a few hot wires at the facility, accidentally causing a fire that cut the station’s power for about an hour. Repair costs are estimated between $8,000 and $10,000.
