MADISON COUNTY, Tenn. — Sheriff John Mehr said Monday the county is moving toward addressing overcrowding at the current criminal justice center. The sheriff says more independent consultants are scheduled to inspect the CJC from Oct. 20-22. In Monday’s county commission meeting, Mehr challenged the commissioners to come tour the facility for themselves so when the time comes to make decisions they’ll be properly informed. WBBJ 7 Eyewitness News has asked to accompany them on those tours.
